Today, December 10, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) in the European Parliament, celebrates Human Rights Day. On this day in 1948, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human rights, an important step in safeguarding and furthering human rights in the world.
