What is the status of press and media freedom in the world? What opportunities and challenges arise? Which countries have made progress towards an independent press? Freedom House and the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung will answer these questions and more on May 27th, when the Freedom of the Press Report 2013 is launched. Marietje Schaake will speak during the launch event of the report. In June the European Parliament will vote on her report on the freedom of press and media in the world.
