On October 2nd, Marietje Schaake will speak in a panel with your fellow MEPs Cecilia Wikström (ALDE), Mary Honeyball (S&D) and Malika Benarab - Attou (VERT)), following the presentation of the report by UN Special Rapporteur in the field of Cultural Rights, Farida Shaheed on "The Right to Freedom of Artistic Expression and Creativity". The report underlines the importance of artistic freedoms in open and democratic societies and calls for an end to censorship and other limitations on the freedom of expression.
