On 21 November, Marietje Schaake will speak on a panel of a fringe meeting taking place during the ALDE Party Congress.
Within the theme of internet-enabled growth, the panel will discuss what policymakers can do to create favourable legislative conditions supporting digital innovation; promote e-commerce to boost employment; and shape an open, global internet policy with European citizens at its heart.
The liberal family has been crucial in driving forward the digital agenda with notable successes in the fields of data roaming & net neutrality. ALDE will continue to capture the initiative especially under the European Commission’s new digital cluster headed by Vice-President Ansip.
