Lénaïc Fund for Journalism : Launch Event 10 November | 18.00h - 20.00h | Brussels Press Club | rue Froissart 95
MEP Marietje Schaake, the Ambassador of the Lénaïc Fund for Journalism, is delighted to invite you to the first fundraising event of the Lénaïc Fund for Journalism.
The Lénaïc Fund for Journalism has been set up by the family and friends of Lénaïc Vaudin d’Imécourt – in her memory – after she tragically passed away from cancer in September 2015 at the young age of 28. Through her hard work and tenacity for ‘getting the story’, Lénaïc became the leading Brussels journalist in the field of EU trade policy in just a few years – creating from scratch EU Trade Insights, a daily specialist news sheet on trade issues. She also brought this to life on-screen every fortnight for the digital media platform viEUws.
The Lénaïc Fund for Journalism provides a fellowship for up to two recently graduated women under the age of 30 from an EU country interested in kick-starting their career in the important profession of EU journalism. It aims to help those selected find their passion for this important profession just as Lénaïc did when she began her journalistic career. Each selected participant will benefit from a financial bursary of up to 5.000 € and a fellowship placement of between 5-6 months with one of our media partners.
Please R.S.V.P to firstname.lastname@example.org by 6th November 2016.
