On February 19, Marietje Schaake together with 11 other Members of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, sent a letter to Selim Yenel, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Turkey to the EU, and Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission.
In the letter they call for the release of award-winning journalist Rami Jarrah,
currently detained in an unknown location in Turkey.
