"The framework agreement almost concludes months of very tough negotiations in which the Council of Ministers had much lower ambitions," Schaake said. "We believe in the great benefits that an open internet brings for Europe: for internet users, for start-ups, for the digital economy. In the digital economy we have to make sure that competition is fair and innovation has a chance."
