On September 10, Marietje Schaake spoke in the plenary debate about the human rights situation in Azerbaijan.
The European Parliament then adopted a resolution on Azerbaijan. Marietje Schaake in her response urged the European Commission, the High Representative and the Member States to speak out against human rights violations in Azerbaijan.
