Plenary speech on Turkey lifting the parliamentary immunity of 138 members

On June 8, Marietje Schaake delivered a speech on the decision of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to lift the parliamentary immunity of 138 members.   Marietje Schaake calls on the Commission that the EU acts according to international law, and for insurance that Turkey does the same. Schaake underlines that we cannot afford further compromise and the EU needs to remain credible if it wants to lead in  the world at all.
