The export of Chinese forced labour products

Written Question

On December 19th the Associated Press published its research illustrating how products made in forced labour camps in the Xinjiang province end up on the American market (1).

Given the EU's responsibility to uphold and promote human rights and the applicable rules for supply chains can the Commissioner:

1) Guarantee that no products produced by forced labourers in the Xinjiang province may have entered the European market?

2) Guarantee that forced labour is not part of any other form of cooperation with China?

3) Explain which measures are in place to use both trade and political pressure, to condemn the ongoing human rights violations throughout China, including in the forced labour camps in the Xinjiang province, and to prevent any access of the products described above to the European market?
