On June 26th, Marietje Schaake will give a keynote address during the 2013 Export Control Conference, organized by the Irish Presidency and the European Commission. Schaake will discuss the importance of controlling the export of dual use technologies which can be used for mass surveillance and censorship. In October 2012 the European Parliament on Schaake's initiative adopted measures to limit the export of these technologies.
